New Recipe?
Last night for Family Home Evening refreshments, Adam decided to make a cake. The only problem was in not checking inside the oven before he started pre-heating...Adrian had his sourdough bread in my tupperware cake taker (turned upside down to make a big bowl with a lid) inside the oven rising. By the time the oven was hot and Adam opened it to put his cake in...well it was bread, slightly cooked, with melted plastic caving in all around. Adam was just standing in the kitchen looking into the oven and we all couldn't figure out what had happened at first! At least he only ruined one batch of bread that way... I did it a while back, only it was two recipes of bread (6 loaves) and that time the bread was rising in large plastic ice cream buckets. Maybe that's a recipe we shouldn't repeat again! Anyone else have any funny cooking experiences like ours? Oh, by the way, the cake turned out good! But we all wondered if the bits of leftover melting plastic in the oven were going to cause an odor and contaminate the cake, but we ate it for refreshments anyway and so far so good! :)

HILARIOUS...that seems to be a trend around there! i loved ethan's spice cake. (i'll tell it since he doesn't blog) he was making a cake & didn't see anything in the recipe to make it a "spice" cake, so he added a bag of crumbled up hot fries!
Don't fall over, but Ethan read your blog the other day! The one about siblings....
